Let’s talk at-home workouts, k?
I have to be honest here: I’ve found it pretty hard to stick with workouts in my house in the past. It can be so hard to really buckle down when the sofa is just a few feet away and your dog is constantly trying to lay on your mat. But, in light of the recent quarantine situation, we’ve all had to become at-home-workout fanatics. And ya know what, I’m loving YouTube workouts at the moment.
There are so many options on YouTube. They’re FREE. The instructors are frequently uploading new content so you can still mix it up. Plus, you can quickly find the best videos based on what others thought.
Below, I’m sharing my favorite YouTube workout videos for a few different categories that I like to keep in my fitness circulation.
YouTube Workouts for your Abs
My Top Pick:
Sarah’s Day | Core & Ab Pilates Workout
Sarah is one of my favorite people to follow for fitness and health inspiration. Plus, she’s always making me laugh. This real-time workout video is a great one for making you feel that burn in your core. It’s intense but also doable and goes by quickly (only about 20 minutes).
At-Home Upper-Body Workouts
My Top Pick:
MadFit | Intense At Home Upper Body Workout
What I love about this video is that it requires no equipment. You can do this workout anywhere (at home, in a hotel, on your back porch). It still makes me feel like I’m getting a good workout in, but I usually like to add it to a lower body video or do a run alongside.

At-Home Workouts for Lower Body
My Top Pick:
Get Hot with Shannon Nadj | 5 Moves to Lift Your Butt
Okay, I know this is only 7 minutes long, but I seriously love it. There’s little bursts of cardio between each workout and you’ll definitely feel the burn. I recommend either running through it a few times, or adding it on to some of the other videos in this post!
Full-Body YouTube Workouts
My Top Pick:
PopSugar 30 Minute Feel Good Dance Cardio Workout to Burn Calories
I am kind of obsessed with Amanda Kloots, who is the guest instructor for this PopSugar class. Full body workout videos are my favorite so it was hard to pick the best, but I love how this one burns calories and also puts you in a good mood! You really let loose and just have a good time.
If you’re looking for a nice stretch after any of these workouts, I find this one to be great and really relaxing, too.
Honestly, if you’re in a funk the best thing you can do is just move around. Whether that’s something high intensity or simply a nice full-body stretch, I promise that you will feel better after it’s done! Now, throw on some of your favorite workout gear and get moving! And, if you’re looking for something to relax in after your workout be sure to check out my work from home cozies recommendations. x
So helpful. Going to work out to these next week
I hope you enjoy! x
Thanks for sharing these resources. My husband has been working out at home since lockdown. I’d tell him about these fitness instructors for sure 🙂
I hope he will enjoy them! x
So helpful! There are so many options on YouTube it’s great to have some suggestions
Right? It can be a little overwhelming and there’s nothing worse than starting a workout video only to realize it’s not great. I hope you’ll try some of these! x
I can say from personal experience that these workouts can work magic on your body. Try it !! 🙂
I find it pretty challenging to motivate myself for home workouts as well, but thank you for sharing these. It’s easier with a little help 🙂
This is great! Sadly, being honest, I have not yet found the time to workout. Working from home and taking care of my son, takes up my wholae day. But I will get on it!
That’s totally understandable! This time at home really threw a curveball at all of us. Maybe some of the shorter videos will be easier for you to knock out, but don’t be hard on yourself if you’re not able to get a workout in! You’re already accomplishing so much xxx
I love the MadFit workouts! Chloe Ting also has some awesome YT workouts as well, you should check her out!
I will! Thanks for the reccomendation x
Definitely will be bookmarking this for reference. Super helpful too how you broke it down by target area. Thanks for sharing!
I hope you’ll find some workouts you enjoy on here!
